(Red Deer, AB) – The Red Deer Downtown Business Association (DBA) is proud to welcome two new members to our Board of Directors. Ryan Curtis (Famoso Pizzeria) and Danielle Harvey (Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery) will join existing members Andrew Luft, Krystal Kromm, Julie Oliver, Kevin Traptow, Allie Grande, Tyler Hansen, Omar Lockhat, Brandon Bouchard and City of Red Deer Council Representative Lynne Mulder. Each will serve a three year term on the Board.
“I am delighted with our current selection of board members,” said Amanda Gould, Executive Director for the DBA. “We have representation from across the business community, including retail and second floor businesses, which allows us to ensure we are providing services all industries can benefit from.”
The DBA wishes to thank departing Board Member Rolland Forsland, owner of Dose Coffee Co. for his involvement with the Board of Directors over the past three years. Rolland’s term ended in December 2015.
Board members will meet this month to select the executive for the year, and to begin the creation of a new Strategic Plan which will guide the association from 2017 – 2019.
The Downtown Business Association has been operating in Red Deer for over 30 years, serving approximately five-hundred business owners in the Downtown area.Through partnerships and leadership in advocacy and promotion, the DBA is the catalyst for a vibrant and prosperous downtown that istheplace to live, work, play and do business.
