Executive Place Gets First Tenant!

The Red Deer and District Community Foundation has launched the 2011 Vital Signs Survey. The Vital Signs Survey allows Red Deerians to have input on some of the most important social issues in our community. Past key issues have included green spaces, homelessness and poverty. Read more

CentreFest Entertains Thousands

CentreFest overtook downtown Red Deer this past weekend, welcoming approximately 28 000 visitors to the ninth annual festival. Crowds were amazed by the outstanding performances by world renowned street performers such as Sublimit (Japan), Alakazam (Australia), Fraser Hooper (United Kingdom), Nigel Blackstorm (USA), and of course Red Deer’s own Spandy Andy, Josh Christensen, and much, much more! Two Way to Become One Way

The two lane alley found just south of the Millennium Centre will be becoming a one way. Red Deer City Council has agreed to change it to a one way at the request of the building owner, who expressed concerns with both the number of collisions in the two way alley, and the expected increase in foot traffic to come with the opening of the RDC Donald School of Business. Signs will be erected to show the changes and will be paid for by the Millennium Centre. Read more

Public Transit Route and Price Changes Announced

The City of Red Deer increases its Public Transit fees annually in response to inflation and expenses. This year, the increase will take place on September first. Single rides will increase by five cents. The new prices are as follows. Read more

RDC Donald School of Business Complete!

The RDC Donald School of Business is open and ready for its over 550 students to arrive. The first course actually began on August 15, however classes are not set to fully resume until September 7. The new downtown learning centre will take up 3 floors of the Millennium Centre, which will include 11 classroom “learning centres” and a number of student common areas Read more
