New Ghost Ideas Wanted

The downtown Sorensen transit station and parking garage is about to become home to Red Deer’s tenth "ghost". The ghosts of Red Deer are bronze statues of prominent figures of Red Deer’s past. It has been roughly ten years since the last ghost statue, of Mickey the beaver and Doris Forbes. Read more

The Red Deer and District Community Foundation released the results of its Vital Signs survey yesterday, October 5. Red Deer Civic Election Results…

There were a couple of surprises, including a tight race for mayor, and the loss of an incumbent Councillor, but for the majority, Red Deer’s next city council will look fairly similar to our previous council. Mayor Morris Flewelling will return for a third term, defeating upstart challenger Hillary Penko by fewer than 2000 votes. Read more
