Funding Still Available for Downtown Businesses

Downtown business owners are encouraged to apply for funding from The City of Red Deer’s Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Pilot Project. With this crime prevention incentive program, The City will pay half of the expenses (before GST) for any successful applicant’s crime prevention upgrades to a maximum of $2,500. Read more

Sorenson Station

You may have noticed the crane on 49th Street last week installing the ‘green’, living roof on the new downtown parkade. This week you’ll see the decorative elements and architectural piping on the sides of the structure being installed. Soon will come the features at ground level. All of these enhancements will ensure we have an attractive parkade. The parkade is expected to be in service by late-August/early-September. Transit will relocate shortly afterwards. Read more
