As the weather warms, farmers’ market enthusiasts will find they can now buy local one more day of the week. The Downtown Business Association is pleased to announce that they will be introducing a new Downtown Market at the former Arlington Inn site on the corner of 51 Avenue and 49 Street beginning in June. Rock N’ Red Deer Logo Competition

Submissions are now being accepted for main art logo and design for Rock’n Red Deer 2012. The theme for this logo must centre around the nostaligic era of the 1950s, 60s and 70s, with an emphasis on rock and roll music, old school hot rods, 50s and 60s classic cruisers, and 1970s muscle cars. Street Sweeping To Begin Next Week

An annual tradition, and sure fire sign of the beginning of spring is back…street sweeping. Street sweeping will begin, weather permitting, on Sunday, April 11, as sweepers head out to remove the remaining dirt and debris that has collected over winter. Read more

CentreFest Volunteers Needed!

CentreFest is once again returning for its eighth year. As Central Alberta’s largest festival, with over 20 000 people attending last year, CentreFest absolutely could not function without its volunteers. We are looking for volunteers for both days, Saturday July 31st and Sunday August 1st, for a variety of positions, we have a task for any skill set. Read more
