Downtown businesses demonstrated their holiday spirit, decorating their shops and businesses helping to create a festive atmosphere in the downtown this Christmas season. After tallying the judges’ scores for creativity, theme and colour, there emerged nearly a three-way tie. Read more

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas in the downtown. The Biggest Christmas Tree Festival & Parade was held last week and now City Hall Park and the big tree are adorned with festive lighting. The Downtown Business Association has again provided Christmas Ambassadors. North Pole Stroll returns to Downtown Red Deer for 2016 Christmas season

The Red Deer Downtown Business Association is pleased to announce the return of the annual holiday campaign, North Pole Stroll, for the 2016 Christmas season. In its fourth year, the initiative aims to promote Downtown Red Deer businesses during the holidays through promotions, contests and Downtown events. It’s a North Pole Stroll!

The North Pole Stroll is located downtown Red Deer, where the magic comes to life at Christmas time. Starting with the kick off of “lighting the largest tree” at the Festival Lights the Night to Winter Market, Late Night Shopping, Free photos with Santa Clause (bring your own camera), to roasting s’mores and singing Christmas carols. After a successful parade through Downtown Red Deer, the Downtown Business Association would like to host you and yours again for more yuletide cheer. The emphasis of the day is a shop-local extravaganza.
