Business Spotlight – LV’s Vinyl Cafe

This week Downtown Red Deer’s ‘business spotlight’ shines on a small locally owned and operated business, LV’s Vinyl Cafe. Located at 4928B 50 (Ross) Street, this place is a great business to stop into if you’re a fan of vinyl, food, drinks, live music, and a cozy atmosphere.  We had the chance to chat with Lisa Spencer-Cook, the owner of LV’s, and ask her a few questions about her business. Check out the interview below!

What is your business?

My business is LV’s Vinyl Café in Downtown Red Deer.

When did your business open?

My business opened in November of 2017.

What makes your business unique?

I sell new and used vinyl records and throw live and intimate house concerts and music gatherings. I also hold a space every Saturday for autistic teens and young adults to gather as there is not a lot of that going on in the City right now.

What are some products/services that you offer?

I offer live music, used vinyl for sale, a menu that includes food and alcohol.

Why did you choose Downtown Red Deer as the location for your business?

I have worked in the downtown for a while for other companies and the downtown is the heart of the city. The community here I suppose.

What do you think makes Downtown vibrant?

The fact that everything is locally owned and operated. The art and cultural activities that happen in this city happen downtown. People really care down here and it’s a neat community to be apart of.

I love Downtown Red Deer because… of the great community.

Be sure to stop by LV’s Vinyl Café and try a delicious panini and a coffee (or alcoholic beverage of choice) and check out their house concerts that feature local musicians. For updates on house concerts or anything LV’s check out their Facebook page!
