Are you a professional or amateur photographer? Do you just like to take cool photos? Yes? This is the opportunity for you!
The SNAP! Downtown Photo Contest is an opportunity for everyone to take photographs in Downtown Red Deer, specifically including the installation of 10+ new murals this June to August for Red Deer’s first ever Meet the Street Arts & Culture Festival.
You can participate by snapping a photograph in one or all categories. There are two categories that you can upload your photos to; “Youth photographer’s (under 18) “, or “Other (Open)”. The goal is to capture the new murals or the creation of the murals, in relation to these categories.
The top 10 highest voted photos from each category will be collected and shared with the final judging panel where a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, cash prize winner will be chosen from each category. You can upload photographs in this contest from August 4th to August 16, 2022, and you can vote from August 17 to August 24, 2022. Winner’s will be chosen at Meet The Streets on September 3/4, 2022.
As well on August 25, 2022, to September 2, 2022, 10 of the top chosen photographs will be printed and displayed for auction at City Roast Red Deer. Auction sheets will be left beside each photo, and all the auctioned donations will go towards a chosen cause. The pieces will then finished being auctioned at Meet The Street on Saturday September 3, 2022, and Sunday, September 4, 2022. The winning bidder will be announced on Sunday.
