The Red Deer Downtown Business Association (DBA) is pleased to announce that on June 6 it will be moving its location to 5009 50 Avenue on Little Gaetz Avenue. The DBA, Catapult Entrepreneurs, Alberta Innovates and the RCMP Downtown Unit offices will be in the same building and will help to position the DBA as a hub relating to all matters regarding the Downtown businesses.
The new location will help to inject positivity into the Downtown core and improve economic development, safety and increase activity on Little Gaetz Avenue.
“We are very much looking forward to the move. To have the opportunity to directly impact businesses positively in this area, does not happen often,” said Amanda Gould, Executive Director of the DBA. “This space has been derelict for many years. Co-locating with the RCMP Downtown Beat patrol, is a huge win for all of Downtown and shows our community that we are serious about increasing positivity and will do whatever it takes to build a vibrant, engaged and healthy heart of the City.”
The DBA will be holding an open house in September for the Downtown businesses and the public to come and view the new space. More details about the open house will be released in the coming months.
